Maggi Seasoning Sauce Refresh

A modern reinterpretation of Maggi liquid seasoning through a bilingual packaging system. This two-pack explores foundational cooking flavors — Garlic & Parsley and Onion & Leek — using restrained typography, minimal illustration, and regulatory-accurate labeling.

A black permanent marker and its red box labeled “U Mark” stand upright on a display table in an art supply store. The box features bold white graffiti-style lettering and the word “black” near the top. In the softly blurred background, a person browses shelves filled with colorful art supplies under bright store lighting.

The Aromatics is a conceptual redesign of Maggi liquid seasoning, developed to modernize the brand while maintaining its culinary credibility and regulatory authenticity.

The project introduces two foundational flavor profiles — Garlic & Parsley and Onion & Leek — positioned as essential cooking bases rather than flavor boosters. The design balances tradition and refinement through a reduced typographic hierarchy, intentional white space, and subtle, ingredient-driven illustrations.

The front label maintains a clean and confident presence, while the back panel introduces abstract line illustrations that reflect each flavor’s aromatic movement: layered concentric forms for onion and leek, and an airy herbal scatter for parsley. The illustrations function as a quiet visual language rather than literal ingredient depictions.

A bilingual Polish–English system reinforces the product’s European roots while adapting it for a contemporary market. All regulatory elements — Nutrition Facts, allergen statements, net quantity, and production coding — were designed to meet U.S. standards for realism and accuracy.

This project explores how heritage food brands can evolve visually without losing trust, familiarity, or function.
