Kettle Chips New flavors

This project explores a small lineup of kettle-style potato chip flavors designed to balance bold taste with cohesive packaging design. The three flavors—Hot Honey, Lemon Pepper, and Smoked Paprika—were selected to represent sweet heat, bright citrus, and smoky spice. Each package uses flavor cues such as color, ingredients, and texture to visually communicate the taste while maintaining a unified system across the lineup. The goal of the project was to create packaging that feels both distinctive and connected, demonstrating how flavor inspiration can inform a clear and consistent brand design.

This packaging project focuses on creating a cohesive line of kettle-style potato chips through flavor-driven design. The goal was to develop a small series of flavors that feel bold and modern while still being familiar and widely appealing. The lineup includes Hot Honey, Lemon Pepper, and Smoked Paprika—three flavors that represent a balance of sweet heat, bright citrus, and smoky spice.

The design process began by exploring how flavor can be translated visually through color, texture, and ingredient cues. Each flavor was given its own distinct visual language inspired by its key ingredients. Warm amber tones and honey-inspired elements communicate the sweet heat of Hot Honey, while bright yellows and pepper textures signal the zesty freshness of Lemon Pepper. Smoked Paprika uses deep reds and smoky spice imagery to reflect its rich, savory profile.

While each flavor has its own personality, the packaging system was designed to remain consistent across the entire lineup. Shared layout structures, typography, and pattern systems help unify the products while allowing the flavor-specific elements to stand out. This approach mirrors how real snack brands maintain recognizable shelf presence while offering variety.

The final result is a set of packaging designs that highlight bold flavor identities while demonstrating how a clear visual system can connect multiple products within a single brand.
